Amazing Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
We had an amazing time in the Holy Land walking in the footsteps of Christ and following in the heartbeat of Mary. As a gift to the pilgrims for our farewell dinner, Sarah and I put this video together. We hope you enoy it!
At the very first Mass in Joppa, Fr. Michael Gaitley encouraged the pilgrims to "cast their nets" into the deep and be prepared for the graces that would befall them on this pilgrimage —and the graces were many! From the daily spiritual teachings of Fr. Michael, to the inspirational teachings of Scripture Scholar Thomas Smith at each site, to the reflections on the Scriptures and how to appropriate the Word of God into our lives and evangelize, to the beginning of great and lasting friendships in Christ, to the early morning walks with Kelly and Sarah to the Holy Sepulchre, to the various mysteries of the rosary said at corresponding sites, to Confession on the Sea of Galilee, to watching three of our sisters consecrate themselves to Jesus through Mary in Capernaum, to the laughter, the tears, the exhaustion, and the joy of being on this journey together... all of these graces expanded the meshing of the nets we cast on the first day and the abundant catch will continue to feed us so for the rest of our lives.
Thank you to all the wonderful 33 pilgrims that made this first Hearts Afire pilgrimage an incredible success! You will each forever hold a special place in our hearts and forever be in our daily prayers! We look forward to traveling with you again and to coninuing this journey from blessing to blessing with you!

Thank you for sharing your pilgrimage to the Holy Land! As I was watching I was moved to tears....literally! This is a trip I will never be able to make because of health problems, but with you sharing the photos, video clips and music I was able to be part of your trip this September. I walked by the Sea, dug my toes in the sand on the beach, touched the Holy places, looked at some of the artifacts, and hummed the music with you. What a wonderful experience on a Sunday morning!
